Dr. Elham (Hasti) Jamshidi
I'm a pharmacist, healthcare executive, and researcher. I work where oncology, commercial strategy, and artificial intelligence meet.
AboutHello, I'm Hasti
I'm a pharmacist and healthcare executive. Today I'm an Associate in AstraZeneca's US Oncology Business Unit, where I work on bringing new cancer medicines to the patients who need them.
I trained as a pharmacist at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, then came to the United States because I wanted to learn how good science becomes medicine people can actually reach. I studied for my MBA in Health, Technology and Innovation at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. I graduated at the top of my class as a Carey Fellow, and I was selected as the student commencement speaker.
Before business school I worked across pharmaceutical business development, cell therapy clinical trials, and healthcare private equity. When COVID-19 hit, I founded RiskeMan, a social-responsibility initiative: we sold no product and took no profit, and our free risk tool reached one million people in three months. In 2023 I co-founded Deepnosis, an early-stage project on predicting medication side effects.
Research has stayed with me through all of it. I've authored 50 peer-reviewed publications and collaborate on the Global Burden of Disease Study.
What drives me is simple: a good medicine only matters if it reaches the patient. That's why I like working between the lab, the clinic, and the business side.
I care about opening doors for women in business. As a Forté Fellow and co-president of the Johns Hopkins Graduate Consulting Club, I spent much of my MBA mentoring students and connecting them with industry.
I grew up in Iran with three siblings. My father, Afshar Jamshidi, is a retired accountant. I speak English and Persian.
